Brief DescriptionProvide overall management direction for commercial construction projects ranging from approximately $5,000,000 to $15,000,000. Assist in developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing client relationships. Trains and develops direct reports in best practices and essential job duties. Performs all aspects of project management to provide the core leadership required guide the project team to success.CommunicationEssential Duties Include:Act as the main point of contact between the owner, architect, engineers, subcontractors, and R&H project team membersBuild and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure an exceptional experienceIdentify the core goals of the owner, and ensure the project team understands themPromotes R&H policies and procedures to the highest level of ethics and professionalismProject ManagementPerform all project management duties including schedule management, change management, budget management, subcontractor management, owner/architect relations, owner billings, provide monthly job forecast reports, typical project documentation, project closeout, etc.High level of problem-solving abilities; anticipate, identify, and resolve challenges according to the best interest of the projectIs responsible, along with the superintendent, to develop and coordinate construction schedules with an understanding of site restraints and owner needsLead project team to the common goal through collaboration, encouragement, and mutual respectManage project risk, clearly communicate, and document project challenges to leadership and the project team.Have a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents, plans, specifications, and construction means and methods.SafetyActively support safety on all R&H jobsitesBusiness Development/PreconstructionAttend applicable industry eventsMaintain client/architect relationships, even after a project is completeAttend two industry networking events and/or client events and R&H networking eventsFollow-up on project opportunitiesDrive to/from jobsites, client/architect meetings, business development events, etc.RequirementsQualifications/Skills: Great communication skills - written and oralAttention to detail, analytical approach to problemsStrategic thinkingPersonable and professionalCollaborative, problem solver, hard workingA sense to take personal responsibility of a projectAble to multi-task and manage 1-2 projects depending on size and complexity Solid understanding of construction methods and best practices, knowledgeable of all trades, including MEP systemsKnowledge of industry unit costs, trades means and methodsValid driver’s license and clean driving record requiredEducation/ExperienceCollege degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience5-10 years progressive experience in construction, demonstrating increased responsibility and leadershipConstruction field experience favorableEstimating experience favorableMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project), Bluebeam Revu & Viewpoint (or similar ERP)Revit/CAD experience are favorableOSHA 10 preferredPhysical ActivitiesKey: Rarely (0-20%), Occasionally (21-50%), Frequently (51-80%), and Continuously (81+%)The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additionally, there is frequent sitting/standing at a desk.Work EnvironmentThis role, depending on the project, may be located in the R&H Office or at a project in the jobsite trailer. In either environment the employee will be required to visit/be on jobsites with uneven ground and be regularly exposed to construction site hazards. The construction sites are usually moderate to very loud. Minimum supervision is provided. R&H will provide all necessary personal protective equipment to keep you safe. Projects are typically within a 50-mile radius of the office; however, this is not guaranteed and travel may be required.
