2nd Shift Warehouse SupervisorEtiwanda - Fontana, CA 92337OverviewSalary Range $70,304.00 - $78,000.00 Salary/month Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Travel Percentage NoneDescriptionThe Warehouse Supervisor will support Operations management to oversee the management and coordination of warehouse employees according to established policies. This position will follow standard procedures for the efficiency of all warehouse operations duties, staffing, and maintain an acceptable level to improve the company's effective and financial performance of the operations.Job Expectations:Oversees warehouse activities in support of operations, including but not limited to, receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materialsTrains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of warehouse associates, assign dutiesConducts shift meetings to communicate general information, address specific topics with engaging warehouse employeesEnsures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damageKeeps equipment operating by enforcing safe operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenanceMaintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work areaProvides the necessary leadership that is associated with building as well as maintaining a strong workforceManages and coordinates the activities of warehouse employees with providing support to diagnose problems and recognize issuesMonitors performance, disciplines, corrective action, for warehouse associates in follow safety guidelines and policy and procedures in partnership with Human Resources for guidanceResponsible for warehouse employee's work schedules and manages staffing needsEffectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approvedMonitor quality of work, assures warehouse employees conform to compliance of company policies and proceduresCompletes assigned work efficiently and in an organized manner within an established time frame, works to complete objectives and sees a task through the end while taking into considerations current responsibilities and workloadDemonstrates a high level of professionalism including mutual trust and respect to all company employeesManage time and attendance procedures for warehouse employee's timekeeping recordingThe duties and responsibilities described above may provide only a partial description of this position. Other duties and responsibilities not outlined in this document may be added as necessary or desirable, with or without notice.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong supervisory and leadership skillsFive plus years of previous 3PL experienceStrong excellent verbal and written communications skills, proven ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization.Possess excellent organizational and time management skillsWork experience in a multi-shift operation a plusAbility to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to work effectively in a team environment with a great attitude to promote a positive work environmentGood math and technical skillsGenerates ideas and initiates action to seek information to solve problemsForklift certification requiredBilingual – English and Spanish highly desiredEquipment Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Warehouse Management System (WMS) required, Davinci knowledge preferred.Experience Requirements: Generally, requires a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
