Tableau Dashboard Developer (Data Analyst / Report Writer II)Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Potential for Extension)Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CSTWe're seeking an experienced Tableau Dashboard Developer to join a high-impact Business Intelligence team supporting the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys transforming complex business requirements into intuitive dashboards and actionable insights.In this role, you'll partner with Product Owners, developers, business stakeholders, and Data Warehouse teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise reporting solutions that drive business decisions. You'll also play an important role in knowledge transfer and mentoring internal staff.What You'll Do:Design, develop, and implement advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizationsGather business requirements and translate them into reporting and BI solutionsWrite complex SQL queries to analyze and transform dataWork with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality reporting solutionsPerform data analysis, code reviews, testing, and troubleshootingDevelop documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teamsPresent dashboards and reporting solutions to business stakeholdersFollow Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices throughout developmentRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience developing Tableau dashboards, including Tableau Prep5+ years of advanced SQL experience5+ years of Business Intelligence, reporting, or data analysis experienceStrong understanding of ETL processes, data integration, data quality, and dimensional modelingExperience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, SSRS, or QlikExperience working with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar relational databasesExperience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environmentsWorking knowledge of PythonExperience using Git, Bitbucket, or TFSPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting State, Federal, or Local Government organizationsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Visio, Project, PowerPoint)What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:Passionate about data visualization and analyticsComfortable working directly with business stakeholdersSkilled at translating business needs into technical solutionsDetail-oriented with strong documentation skillsAble to work independently while collaborating across technical and business teamsAn excellent communicator with strong problem-solving abilities
