Program Coordinator- Equipment & Facilities

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.ResponsibilitiesThis role oversees the comprehensive management of athletic equipment and uniforms for all teams, including purchasing, inventory, maintenance, laundry, distribution, and disposal, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost-effective operations. The position supervises and trains staff and student workers, develops and enforces equipment room policies and procedures, coordinates equipment needs for home and away events, and manages transportation and setup. Acting as a liaison with manufacturers, vendors, coaches, and student-athletes, the role ensures the selection of safe, high-performing equipment and apparel, maintains compliance with NCAA, MVC, and NOCSAE standards, and oversees inventory tracking and budget management. Additional responsibilities include monitoring vehicle registration, ensuring ordering and branding compliance, maintaining equipment care and sanitation practices, and ensuring efficient facility operations in support of all intercollegiate sports.Key DutiesCoordinate purchase, inventory, assembly, marking, maintenance, repair, laundry, distribution, and disposal of athletic equipment and uniforms.Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, terminate, and assign staff and student workers.Develop and implement equipment room policies and procedures, including federal tax and inventory control.Promote cost-effective utilization of equipment and apparel and operate facilities efficiently.Prepare and maintain equipment and apparel for home and away events, including transportation and setup.Act as liaison with vendors and coaches for safe, high-performing equipment and apparel selection.Monitor vehicle registration program for equipment room vehicles.Maintain inventory system for issuance, return, and disposal of equipment and supplies.Ensure uniform, equipment, and apparel ordering complies with NCAA and MVC restrictions.Maintain program in accordance with NOCSAE specifications.Apply knowledge of equipment care, cleaning, and laundry chemicals.Understand security and event conduct procedures.QualificationsBachelor's degree.Three (3) years of supervision and management of athletic equipment.Athletic Equipment Manager's Associates (AEMA) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.Blood borne pathogens certification within 12 months.CPR/First Aid certification within 12 months.Master's degree may substitute one (1) year of work experience.Illinois residency requirement: out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date.J-18808-Ljbffr
