Most of all, we strive for a culture where our employees view us as one of the best places to work.Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible to conduct general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, property, and structures.Core ResponsibilitiesDuties of this job include, but are not limited to:Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner with minimal supervisionMaintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipmentClean the work area, shop, and maintenance storagePerform building maintenance duties (paint, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC maintenance etc.)Complete a maintenance check lists and report statuses to supervisor dailyCo-operate with and oversee contracted vendorsRespond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairsDiagnose and troubleshoot issuesComplete work orders as assigned and in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedCommitment & DependabilityWillingness to be an integral member of a successful teamDedication to provide the highest levels of serviceExcellent attendance and reliabilityAdherence to company policies and proceduresExpectation to work weekends and holidays as requiredProperly handle confidential customer information and other non-public company proprietary informationQualifications & EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredMust be at least 21 years of ageMust be able to pass a fingerprint background check to get a facility agent card5+ years of relevant job experienceAbility to use power tools, hand tools, and electric metersThorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documentsAbility to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisorsPhysical RequirementsRequires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands with repetitive motionsFrequently requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materialsFrequently stooping, bending, and reachingMust work indoors and outdoors year-roundMust work in noisy and crowded environmentsObserve, see, hear, and respond to directions given with effective outcomeLift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessaryCrouch & bend often throughoutStand for short / long periods of timeSit for short / long periods of timeWalk for short / long periods of timeOccasionally sit on the floor or at floor levelFrequent use of hands doing all sorts of repetitious motionsHandle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this positionMust be able to use all PPE equipment for each departmentMust be able to do physical labor in all types of environments such as the airconditioned rooms within the facility as well as the heat of the greenhouse which can be over 100 degrees with high humidityCertifications Or Training RequirementsComplete New Hire Orientation & Safety TrainingAdditional trainings as assigned by managementDisclaimer: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
