Cloud Resiliency & Disaster Recovery Lead

OverviewWe are seeking a Cloud Resiliency & Disaster Recovery Lead to own and drive enterprise-wide resiliency strategy across a cloud-first environment. This role will lead the design, governance, and execution of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity capabilities, ensuring the organization is prepared to respond to disruptions with speed, precision, and minimal business impact.This is a high-visibility role partnering with senior technology and business leaders to build a scalable, measurable resiliency program aligned to risk appetite and regulatory expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement enterprise resiliency strategy, including governance frameworks, policies, standards, and success metricsDevelop and maintain disaster recovery roadmaps with clearly defined and measurable KPIs and recovery objectives (RPO/RTO)Lead the design and enforcement of contingency planning policies within an Azure public cloud environment Drive adoption of resiliency standards across multiple business units and technology platformsOversee development of system-level contingency plans, including:Roles and responsibilitiesRecovery priorities and restoration sequencingFailover strategies and patternsExecutive communication protocolsEstablish and lead enterprise-wide resiliency testing programs (tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises)Conduct after-action reviews and ensure remediation efforts are tracked, owned, and completed on scheduleBuild and deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting on:Organizational readiness postureTesting performance and outcomesPlan coverage and maturityRemediation backlog and closure progressDrive continuous improvement by analyzing lessons learned and implementing enterprise-wide enhancements to resiliency capabilitiesRequired Experience10+ years of experience in technical management, platform engineering, or reliability/operations7+ years leading resiliency, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP) programs at enterprise scaleProven experience designing and executing Azure-based resiliency strategies across complex, multi-platform environmentsHands-on expertise with:Azure Site RecoveryAzure BackupCross-region replicationHybrid disaster recovery architecturesStrong experience leading enterprise DR testing and large-scale failover exercisesDeep understanding of KPIs, SLAs, and recovery objectives (RPO/RTO), with experience enforcing governance and control adherenceExperience presenting to senior leadership, risk committees, auditors, and regulatorsStrong familiarity with frameworks and standards such as:NIST SP 800-34ISO 22301 / ISO 27031ITIL best practicesExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align across diverse teamsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field requiredRelevant certifications are a plus, such as:Azure Solutions Architect ExpertCertified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)ISO 22301 Lead ImplementerITIL v4
