You’ll help translate facilities planning, funding strategies, and construction programs into clear, compelling narratives that build trust and community understanding.This role blends:✔ Bond campaign strategy✔ Public engagement planning✔ Strategic communications✔ Proposal and pursuit messagingYou’ll contribute both externally (supporting clients and community initiatives) and internally (strengthening Triangle’s messaging and proposals).What You’ll DoBond Campaign Strategy & Public EngagementDevelop communication strategies for bond programs and civic initiativesCraft voter-facing messaging, FAQs, and presentationsFacilitate community meetings and stakeholder forumsAnticipate concerns and shape clear, transparent responsesStrategic CommunicationsServe as a communications partner throughout planning and construction lifecyclesProduce board updates, public materials, and engagement toolsHelp monitor and respond to community sentimentGuide tone, sequencing, and clarity in public-facing messagingProposal & Messaging SupportContribute to RFP responses and interviewsTranslate technical planning and construction information into accessible languageDevelop compelling executive summaries and project narrativesStrengthen Triangle’s storytelling across pursuits and active projectsWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in communications, public engagement, or public-sector outreach is requiredPrior experience in the construction or architectural industry is highly preferredExceptional writing skills and polished, client-ready content developmentExperience leading public meetings or stakeholder forumsAbility to translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible languagePreferred:Experience with school districts, municipalities, or public agenciesBond campaign experienceBackground in journalism, PR, or strategic communicationsFamiliarity with capital planning or facilities projectsWho You AreStrategic thinkerConfident facilitator with strong interpersonal presenceEmotionally intelligent and attuned to community dynamicsOrganized and adaptable, able to manage multiple initiativesInterested in growing into broader leadership responsibilities
