Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Packer/Inspector to work first shift (6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) in our brand-new facility. Packer/Inspectors at Flexco typically start at $18.00/hour or more, depending on experience.
Packer/Inspector
The hours will be: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
Location: Grand Rapids
Department: Unibar
Purpose: To inspect and pack parts, assuring only good quality products are packed.
What you will need:
High School Degree or equivalent.
0-2 years in inspection or packing position.
Basic understanding of reports
The ability to:
Lift floor to shoulder 20 lbs.
Push a maximum of 60 ft.
Reach less than 18 inches.
Sit majority of day.
Manage your own work load
What you will be doing:
Inspect and pack parts or miscellaneous products as directed.
Adhere to efficiency expectations
Operate box folding machines.
Complete all paperwork and/or documentation as required.
Ensure stock levels are managed and inventory is accurate.
Participate in the suggestion system and Continuous Improvement programs as required.
Requires several concerted routines and activities.
Plans, organizes and prioritizes own work.
Performs work which requires routine independent decisions.
