Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: Eagan, MN (Onsite, Full-Time) Compensation: Up to $80,000 annually + bonus + profit sharing + exceptional benefits Overview A long-established business in the construction materials and industrial services space is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and help modernize financial workflows. This is a newly added role designed to create bandwidth, streamline processes, and support a period of organizational growth. Why This Role Is Unique Exceptional benefits: 100% employer‑paid health insurance (including dependents) 401(k) match up to 5% + annual profit sharing Discretionary bonus High‑trust environment with very low turnover Direct partnership with leadership and strong mentorship Opportunity to help shape new systems and processes during a growth phase What You’ll Do This is a well-rounded accounting role with responsibilities across multiple areas: Accounting & Bookkeeping Handle daily AP and AR functions Perform journal entries, accruals, and assist with month‑end close Maintain general ledger accuracy and support reconciliations Assist with billing, vendor communication, and basic reporting Payroll Support weekly payroll processing for both union and non‑union employees Review timesheets for accuracy (including digital timesheet rollout support) Help ensure payroll compliance and timely submission Process Improvements & Projects Participate in a major system migration from Sage 50 to Sage 100 Help convert paper-based processes (invoicing, approvals, timesheets) to digital systems Provide general support during office relocation Assist leadership with ad hoc operational tasks and cross-functional needs Bonus Skills (Not Required) Familiarity with inventory or cost tracking concepts Background in construction, manufacturing, field service, or similar industries What We’re Looking For 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a small business setting Strong command of AP/AR, payroll, and month-end activities Someone who enjoys variety and can pivot between tasks easily Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working onsite daily Positive attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed Experience with Sage (or similar accounting software) is a plus #INFEB2025 #LI-HK1 #LI-Onsite
