Development Officer, Operations (NYC based)

About the Opportunity Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development and accountable to the Chief Development Officer for certain functions, the Development Officer, Operations is a key member of the Development team. This position advances the mission of the Clinton Foundation by leading various operational and administrative functions, and other projects in support of the team. Key functions of this position include ensuring the efficient and accurate management of donor data, revenue tracking and donation administration through extensive use of the Foundation's CRM database, and other administration functions. This role manages the tracking of donor acknowledgements, and is responsible for managing development team expenses, keeping internal databases updated, and assisting in the development of briefings and memoranda as requested and required.Core ResponsibilitiesRevenue Tracking, Gift Administration & ReportingOversees the processing and proper recording of gifts and pledge fulfillmentPrepares gift, pledge, sponsorship, and/or grant agreements, and invoicingAssists the CDO and Directors on partnership, major gifts and endowment pledge fulfillment, including reporting, pledge reminders, and other donor communications regarding samePrepares the necessary data files of gift receipt letters and appropriate acknowledgement letters according to established proceduresBuilds and manages tracking for contracts, sponsor benefits, and giftsData ManagementMaintains and updates a high-quality donor database that supports the goals and objectives of the department with respect to fundraising and relationship managementLiaises with others on the team to manage the CRM Database to implement and oversee data entry procedures, data hygiene practices, and database integrityRegularly audits and updates donor data to ensure accuracy and reliabilityAssists CDO, Directors, and others in producing routine gift & special revenue reportsServes as a resource to Development team in the preparation of CRM queries and lists for various purposes, segmentations, and data file preparation as requested; trains other Development staff members to do likewiseDonor Recognition/Stewardship and Other AdministrativeUpdates financial filings and materials, i.e. W-9s and other documentsProcesses DAF/Foundation lettersMaintains and updates various Development team forms, instructions, etc.Coordinates Development team office operations, including team meetings, incoming emails, correspondence and calls directed to the DepartmentUtilizes data to assist the development team in managing and growing the donor pipelineCoordinates physical and digital development outreach including event invitations, physical mailings, and email mail mergesSupports administrative functions of the Chief Development Officer, including scheduling, coordinating travel logistics, managing expenses, updating internal databases, and responding to written and telephone inquiriesMinimum QualificationsWhat we're looking for:Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 3 years of professional experience in the field in positions of increasing responsibility requiredExperience in non-profit environment with similar responsibility preferredUnderstanding the fundamentals of a Development office and a charitable foundationSignificant Data management and list management experienceCompensation & BenefitsOur best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $63 - 68K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.
