Staff / Senior Accountant

At Awayday, our accounting team plays a central role in driving the growth and success of our family of vacation-rental brands. As a Staff or Senior Accountant (DOE), you’ll be responsible for accurate financial reporting, thoughtful analysis, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.You’ll partner closely with both the accounting team and operations leaders across the country, gaining exposure to a fast-paced, multi-brand environment. As Awayday continues to grow, you’ll have meaningful opportunities to expand your responsibilities, develop your career, and step into increased leadership over time.ResponsibilitiesCompletes month-end close procedures, including account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and review and analysis of revenue and expense accountsPrepares monthly financial reports analyzing variances in financial performanceIdentify, document and implement accounting policies and process improvementsAssists with preparation of external financial statements and support of external auditsParticipates in cross functional company initiatives as necessaryUtilize knowledge of US GAAP principles on a daily basis and assist with technical researchPlans and executes monthly financial review with local operations teamSupports various departments with reporting, analysis, and special projectsCompletes year-end tax forms for owners and vendorsAssists with accounts payable processingOther job duties as assignedQualificationsDegree in Accounting or Finance2-4+ years' experience in accounting, demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP principlesNetSuite experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel Skills
