Our teams build customized solutions for both commercial and military aviation—supporting aircraft from helicopters to fixed-wing platforms.In this role, you’ll apply rigorous avionics standards while helping drive innovations that enhance flight optimization and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop avionics software solutions in line with company and industry standardsDesign scalable software architectures that evolve with product needsContribute to all phases of development: design, coding, and documentationSolve complex technical challenges across new and existing systemsParticipate in code reviews and peer evaluations to ensure qualityWhat You Bring (Required Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field4+ years of experience in software developmentProficiency in C/C++Willingness to travel up to 20%What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)Experience with flight management, autopilot, navigation, or other avionics systemsFamiliarity with software configuration and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)Knowledge of DO-178C certification processesExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)Experience with communication protocols (e.g., RS-232, RS-422, ARINC 429, CANbus, IEEE-1394)Background in avionics software developmentWhat We OfferFast paced environment with significant autonomy¨Start up¨ work environment in a well-established organization401K Match ProgramBCBS Medical, HSA with Company contribution, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability InsuranceGenerous PTO PlanAt CMC, we pride ourselves on delivering a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
