Sr Project Manager (Microgrids)

The RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Project Manager to drive exciting and innovative microgrid projects in various locations across the West.You will report to the Senior Director, Project Management, and work on a hybrid basis out of either our Santa Monica or Oakland, CA offices.Key responsibilities will include:Serve as the project manager for individual microgrid construction projects for our customers from contract signature through commissioningEnsure our internal company functions (i.e., Business Development, Engineering, Service) are aligned throughout the project execution processPrepare project schedules, operating rhythms, and sequence of operations to ensure all stakeholders (customers, contractors, material/ equipment vendors, and local regulatory agencies) are informed and engagedEvaluate and manage 3rd party agreements and relationships with Contractors/EPCs and other material and service providersManage bid solicitation, bid review, selection, contractor negotiations, and establish and maintain project budgetsTrack project costs and schedules to ensure the project is delivered on time and on targetProactively identify and resolve conflicts and develop and implement viable solutionsInform the development of our Project Management function to keep pace with our company’s rapid growthThe Ideal Candidate 10+ years of experience in construction management, general contracting, logistics, engineering, energy industry, or military experienceAn understanding of building code and regulationsExcellent communication skills and customer service skillsCritical thinking and creative problem-solving skillsProactive and mission-driven behaviorAble to work autonomously and be comfortable representing Scale in customer-facing situationsHighly organized and self-motivated, with determination to work through challengesTeam player who supports the growth of others with experience managing direct reportsCompetency in Procore, MS Project (or similar scheduling software), G-suite/MS OfficeBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredHighly organized and self-motivated, with determination to work through challengesTeam player who supports the growth of others with experience managing direct reportsCompetency in Procore, MS Project (or similar scheduling software), G-suite/MS OfficeBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredThis is a great opportunity to have a long-term impact on a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth business.
