Your next career awaits.We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support the operation of a high-end, multi-building hospitality property. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of all HVAC systems across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.This position plays a direct role in guest comfort and operational continuity. The ideal candidate is a strong, independent technician capable of diagnosing issues, executing preventative maintenance, and reducing reliance on outside vendors.Essential FunctionsPerform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including water-sourced heat pumps, air handlers, and split systemsIdentify and resolve system inefficiencies, airflow issues, and control-related problemsExecute scheduled preventative maintenance programs to improve system reliability and lifespanMaintain mechanical rooms and HVAC infrastructure to a high standard of organization and safetyRespond to service calls related to heating, cooling, and ventilation issues across the propertyDocument all work performed in the CMMS (HotSOS or equivalent)Assist in identifying recurring issues and recommend long-term solutionsSupport vendor coordination for major repairs or specialized workAssist with basic troubleshooting of refrigeration or kitchen equipment as neededCoordinate with specialized vendors for complex commercial appliance repairsQualifications5+ years of HVAC experience preferred (commercial or hospitality environment strongly preferred)Strong working knowledge of heat pump systems, air distribution, and HVAC diagnosticsEPA Universal Refrigerant Certification requiredAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematicsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyValid driver's licenseWork Environment & ExpectationsMulti-building property with a wide range of HVAC systems and operating conditionsMix of preventative maintenance and real-time service responseParticipation in an on-call rotation for HVAC-related emergenciesWork performed in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and various indoor/outdoor environmentsPhysical DemandsAbility to lift up to 60 lbsAbility to work on ladders and in confined spacesCapable of working in hot, cold, and variable conditions
