The ideal candidate thrives in team settings and is motivated by creating success all around them through strong communication, shipping great product experiences, and making data-driven decisions.To succeed in the Staff Software Engineer role at Forge you will have the skill and experience to successfully deliver high quality code while requiring minimal oversight/support. You will have the ability to take on advanced tasks while also being a productive and collaborative member of the team.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain data-driven web applications and services with .NET, RDBMS, and SPA web frameworks.Leverage your expertise in object-oriented development to produce designs and code solutionsProvide object model and data analysis and participate in solution design activitiesBuild backend services, APIs, and web-based user interfaces Gain an understanding of business requirements, current system operations/functionality and proposed new requirements.Use previous experiences to contribute to the overall technical architecture.Design, build and maintain automated unit and integration tests.Mentor members of the development team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies.Gain an understanding of business requirements, current system operations/functionality and proposed new requirements.Collaborate with Forge’s product, design, information security and business team members to quickly grasp domain knowledge.Develop concise, articulate, and detailed documentationSupport healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field8+ years of software engineering experience5+ years of experience programming in C# and .NET technologiesExperience developing n-tiered web applications using modern techniquesAdvanced skill in building backend services and batch jobs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and help drive innovationDesired QualificationsExperience building UIs in Angular and/or React, Redux, Bootstrap Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud infrastructure Fintech or Financial services industry experienceExperience with Functional Programming Experience mentoring junior software engineersProven track-record of teamwork and deliveryExperience at high-growth, venture-backed startupsExperience also developing with Scala and Typescript/JavaScript a big plus(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $157,500/year + bonus + equity + benefitsForge is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
