ECAD librarian - Mentor Graphics VX2.4 / EDM Contract 12+ months 40 hours weekly/ 9/80 Schedule US Citizen ONLY... Position will be local to MA and this contract role will eventually transition to direct with the client. Responsibilities: Works with design and component engineers to establish proper structure and layout of electrical schematic symbols and footprints, review and approve symbols, footprints and component database information ensuring library data integrates with schematic and layout design tools. Works with moderate to minimal oversight from senior technical personnel and can identify and resolve component issues. Understand basic functional and performance parameters of electrical components and how to properly identify and define those parameters by referencing component datasheets. Effectively communicates status and issues to management and design team members in oral or written form as requested for the project. Education and Experience: Requires a minimum of 3 years¿ experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition VX, DxDesigner, Mentor Graphics Library Manager symbol and cell editors, and AutoCAD. Experience with Mentor Graphics EDM Library a plus. Good oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to execute on a project task. Exceptional communications skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to independently drive a layout project to completion required. Familiarity with industry standards: IPC-7351, JEDEC-JP95, MIL-STD-1835.
