Future Duties and Responsibilities:As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for development, support, maintenance, and implementation of Java Front End based project modules.Translate software requirements into scalable, secure Java-based applications, including writing specifications and designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting applications using Java, React and PythonParticipate in project planning sessions with technical and functional leads, business analysts, and other team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed IT solutions.Collaborate in design reviews, providing input on security requirements, data flow to define technical requirements and ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.Design and implement scalable, secure Java-based applications.Design and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalabilityWork with Oracle databases and write PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers.Develop and maintain event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka for real-time data processingMonitor and troubleshoot data streaming pipelines, Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using JenkinsAbility to deploy, manage, and scale applications on OpenShiftParticipate in code reviews and Agile development processes, ensuring alignment with pre-defined architectural specifications and identifying/troubleshooting application code-related issues.Provide hands-on coaching and support for junior software team personnel in microservices development, systems architecture, reuse, development processes, and technical direction.Act as a technical advisor on specialized phases of system design, programming, implementation, and analysis, leading and participating in major system design, development, and implementations.Gather system requirements, develop specifications, write code according to specifications, review others' code/designs, diagnose and fix bugs in conjunction with QA team and work independently and as part of an agile team. Required Qualifications to be Successful in this role:Candidate must have an agile mindset and should have 8+ years of hands on experience as a developer with Java Springboot, SQL, OCP, Jenkins , Kafka, Oracle PL/SQLProven hands-on Software Development experience and knowledge of Java build toolsHands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP)Good Understanding of containerization (Docker concepts)Ability to deploy, manage, and scale applications on OpenShiftProven hands on working experience and strong proficiency in Core JavaGood Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systemsExperience building Kafka producers and consumerProven working experience in a team using collaboration tools like GIT, JIRA etcHands-on experience building RESTful APIs using Spring BootStrong command over SQL queries (SELECT, JOINs, subqueries, aggregations)Experience writing stored procedures, functions, and packages and good knowledge of triggers, cursors, and exception handling in PL/SQLShould have Unit and Integration testing experienceHighly effective written and verbal communication skills
