Epileptologist opening - Hartford, CTPosition DetailsFull-time, permanentSeeking a fellowship trained BC/BE Epileptologist. Collaborative and inclusive model of care, offering personalized, coordinated care with excellent patient experience and proven track record of quality and safety. The center has all the specialized diagnostic and treatment tools needed to help people with seizures get more out of life. Duties will include outpatient care for people with seizures, as well as interpretation of routine EEGs, EMU, LTM and intracranial EEG services. Additional interests in education, research or quality are encouraged.Team includes 10 epileptologists and 3 epilepsy trained neurosurgeons. The care model is strengthened by a group of outstanding advanced practice providers. The behavioral health of the patients is attended to in collaboration with our social worker and psychiatrist. Private practice approach in the clinic balanced by an academic program structure. The UConn neurology residents inpatient training occurs predominantly at the hospital and the program director is one of the epileptologists. Furthermore, the hospital offers excellent support for research.
