This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting Hyland OnBase solutions that enable document management, workflow automation, and system integrations across Medicaid operations. The ideal candidate brings strong OnBase technical expertise, experience working within state Medicaid or public-sector environments, and the ability to collaborate closely with business analysts, system integrators, and state stakeholders.Responsibilities:OnBase Development & ConfigurationDesign, configure, and maintain OnBase solutions, including:WorkflowsDocument types, life cycles, and queuesUser groups, security, and permissionsDevelop and customize OnBase components using:Workflow DesignerUnity Scripting / Unity APIsOnBase Configuration StudioImplement document capture, indexing, and storage solutions to support MMIS business processesIntegration & Technical SupportSupport integrations between OnBase and MMIS components (e.g., eligibility, provider management, claims, finance)Collaborate with technical teams on data exchange, interface troubleshooting, and performance optimizationAssist with upgrades, patches, and environment migrations (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod)Testing & Quality SupportSupport system and user acceptance testing (SIT/UAT), including defect analysis and resolutionParticipate in release planning and deployment activitiesEnsure solutions comply with state security, audit, and documentation standardsCollaboration & DocumentationWork closely with business analysts to translate Medicaid business requirements into technical OnBase solutionsProduce and maintain technical documentation, configuration artifacts, and support guidesParticipate in design reviews, sprint planning, and status reportingRequired / Preferred Experience:5+ years of hands-on Hyland OnBase development and configuration experienceStrong experience with:OnBase WorkflowUnity Client / Unity ScriptingOnBase Configuration & AdministrationExperience supporting Medicaid MMIS/MES, healthcare systems, or large public-sector IT programsSolid understanding of document management, workflow automation, and enterprise content management (ECM)Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environmentsStrong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred:Prior experience in a state Medicaid or HHS systemFamiliarity with CMS guidance and Medicaid operational processesExperience supporting system modernization or system replacement initiativesHyland OnBase certifications (Administrator, Workflow, or Developer)Experience working with system integrators or as part of a multi-vendor teamS2Tech is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
