Job Title: Java Platform ArchitectLocation: Malvern PADuration: 12+ MonthsEmployment Type: ContractJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Java Platform Architect with strong hands-on experience in Spring Integration and enterprise integration architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing scalable Java platforms, integration frameworks, microservices, APIs, and message-driven architectures.The candidate will work closely with engineering, application, infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams to define technical architecture and deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead architecture for Java-based enterprise platforms and integration solutions.Provide hands-on technical leadership for Spring Integration implementations.Design complex integration workflows using Spring Integration channels, routers, filters, transformers, splitters, aggregators, and service activators.Define and implement Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) for scalable application integration.Design synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, and other messaging technologies.Develop scalable microservices-based architectures using Java and Spring Boot.Design API integration strategies and reusable integration frameworks.Implement message transformation, routing, enrichment, validation, error handling, retry, and recovery mechanisms.Integrate enterprise applications, databases, third-party applications, and external services.Define architecture standards, design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.Create HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, integration designs, and technical documentation.Analyze existing applications and recommend modernization and integration strategies.Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and automated deployments.Troubleshoot complex production and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.Mentor senior developers and provide technical leadership on Java and Spring Integration projects.Must-Have SkillsJava – 10+ yearsJava Platform / Solution Architecture experienceSpring Integration – MandatoryStrong hands-on experience with Spring Integration FrameworkSpring Boot / Spring FrameworkEnterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)Microservices ArchitectureREST/SOAP APIsKafka / JMS / RabbitMQ or equivalent messaging technologiesXML, JSON, XSD, XPath, and data transformationStrong understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processingExperience with SQL and relational databasesGit, Jenkins, CI/CDDocker and KubernetesStrong architecture, troubleshooting, and communication skills
