Manufacturing TechnicianAPOLIS2024 Manufacturing Technician Hartford, CT 6 months contract Pay Rate: $25.00Core Responsibilities And TasksThe incumbent will provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing operations, in order to support Manufacturing performance and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.Preventive Maintenance (PM)Assist in implementation of Equipment Preventive and Predictive Schedules based upon Historical Performance and manufacturers suggested maintenance intervals.Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications and established PM schedules.Diagnose problems with machinery/processes by observing, listening, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical devices in operationMaintains equipment, parts, critical spares, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.Maintains electronic records for history of PM's for all manufacturing assetsDocument and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, and communicating to relevant departmentsFabricates repair parts as needed by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Facilities MaintenanceRepair, maintain/monitor all support equipment and amenitiesChange of all filters for ventilation as requiredPaint, remodel, refurbish areas as neededChange light bulbs, interior and exterior, as neededTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM)Supports Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) performance by informing production workers of routine Total Productive Maintenance(TPM) techniques and monitoring complianceContinuous improvement of TPM Documentation
