Job Full DescriptionJob Description Janitorial:A company here in Huntsville, Alabama is looking to add to their Janitorial staff. The janitor is responsible for keeping facilities clean and orderly throughout the campus. Staff members work in teams at the direction of a lead janitor and many duties are completed with limited or no immediate supervision. During cleaning, janitorial staff may interact with all levels of employees and other tenants of the building. Janitors must display a courteous demeanor and have the ability to work unobtrusively yet efficiently. Janitors must be able to follow written and verbal instructions for daily assignments as well as for the use of cleaning solvents and equipment.Janitorial staff members work one of two shifts. Routine and ad hoc assignments are made for each shift. Uniforms are required; corporate logo shirts are provided. 2 shifts available. Highlights: Pay Rate $15-19/hr -- Multiple shifts available Job Duties:Gather and empty trash, replace liners and clean containersService, clean, and supply restroomsClean and polish furniture and fixtures,Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrorsDust furniture, walls, machines and equipmentMix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specificationsSteam-clean or shampoo carpetsStrip, seal, finish and polish floors,Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixturesProvide courteous and professional service to building occupantsOccasional facility-related projects or janitorial assistance for special eventsOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum two years' related experience in a position demonstrating the ability to complete assignments, work with limited supervision, and prioritize tasks according to a work scheduleRequired Skills:Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationshipsAbility to work independentlyAbility to prioritize tasks given in the work scheduleExtremely detailed oriented Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of peopleAbility to read and follow instructionsPhysical Requirements:The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of: Frequent walking, stooping and bendingAbility to push utility cartAbility to occasionally lift up to 40 poundsBenefits Express Offers:Health Insurance, medical, dental, vision, Short-term disability, Term LifeHuntsville, AL 1628 900 Bob Wallace Avenue Suite 106 Huntsville, AL 35801
