The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore physical function. Key Responsibilities Implement treatment plans developed by a Physical Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional training Use modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home care techniques Document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards Requirements & Qualifications Education & Certification Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active PTA license or certification (as required by state) CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required) Experience New graduates may be considered; experience preferred (6 months–1 year) Clinical rotation experience required Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehab settings is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow detailed treatment plans accurately Strong observational and documentation skills Physical stamina to assist and support patients Compassionate and patient-focused approach Work Environment Hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health May involve standing for long periods and assisting with patient mobility Flexible shifts depending on facility needs Additional Requirements Ability to pass background check and drug screening Up-to-date immunizations and health records Compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations Compensation & Benefits (Varies by Employer) Competitive salary or hourly pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Continuing education support Retirement plan options Apply now to start your next travel adventure!
