Everyone at Cal-Am is continually working today for tomorrow’s lifestyle ensuring those we serve have an unparalleled experience of the highest quality.POOL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANJob SummaryThe Pool Maintenance Technician role performs various physical and monitoring duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the pools and spas.Compensation$18.00 - $22.00 Hourly – Depending on experience and certification (CPO).General AccountabilitiesInspect pool at the start of shift per Daily Pool Inspection ReportUse Daily Pool/Spa Chemistry Log Sheet / Color Q or Taylor test kitsReport any safety issues with equipment to supervisor prior to startClean the scum line where the water meets the pool wallBackwash Filters as required to clean filter and perform water exchange in poolClean all equipment at the end of the task and storeCheck all entry / exit gates for proper operation, must close and latch every time when releasedCheck all emergency equipment for proper location within pool areaCheck that all signage is in place and legibleDocument all pool chemical levels on Daily Report Sheet Complete chemical readings dailyPool water should glisten and sparkle with the sun shine and waves, good sign that the pool chemistry is in balanceClean, wipe down, align and straighten all tables, chairs, and loungersCheck the floor for excess water and mop if necessary. Be sure to use “Slippery when Wet” signs during and after moppingSkim pools dailyBrush/scrub pool and spa walls/stairs must at least 3x per weekPool deck, lounge chairs and breezeway must be scrubbed/power washed dailyVacuum pools and spas dailyPerforms on-call emergency service, as requiredInspect all sidewalks in and around Clubhouses & pools, remove crack weeds and sprayMake sure no smoking is allowed in the pool areaPosition duties and work schedule may change according to business needs at any time or as instructed by management.*The Company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.Job QualificationsCPO Certification preferredMinimum Education: High School or GEDMinimum Experience: 1 Year
