This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and partnering closely with property management and finance leadership.The Senior Property Accountant will own the full-cycle accounting for assigned properties, contribute to month-end close and budgeting processes, and serve as a collaborative resource across teams in a dynamic, growing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of Class A multifamily propertiesPrepare and review journal entries, general ledger activity, and balance sheet reconciliationsPerform month-end close, including A/R reviews, bank reconciliations, and financial reportingMaintain rent rolls, vacancy reports, and audit move-ins/move-outs and security deposit activityPrepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and sales tax filingsParticipate in the annual budgeting process and input approved budgets into accounting systemsPartner with external accountants during year-end audits and financial reviewsCollaborate closely with property managers and internal stakeholders to resolve accounting itemsKey Requirements4+ years of accounting experience; multi-property or real estate accounting strongly preferredSolid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reportingExperience with property accounting software; Yardi experience is a plusProficiency in Excel and Microsoft OfficeBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required with relevant experienceAdaptability and comfort working in a growing organization without rigid SOPsStrong communication skills and a customer-service mindset, ideally with hospitality or property-facing experienceDetail-oriented, dependable, and proactive with a strong work ethicWhy Employees Love Our Client:Stable, direct-hire role with long-term growth potentialOpportunity to help shape processes in an evolving accounting environmentBusiness-casual, collaborative office culture in the Biltmore areaFlexible work schedule with limited remote days after trainingCompetitive compensation and bonus potential based on individual performance
