Development Coordinator

Lowell Arts is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in growing community support for our organization; building relationships, securing funding, and helping ensure that the arts remain a vibrant part of life in West Michigan.Job Type: Part-timePay: Commensurate with experienceBenefits: Paid time offWork Location: Lowell Arts, 223 W Main St, Lowell, MI 49331This position is 24–32 hours per week. Work schedule is flexible, Tuesday through Friday, 10am–6pm. Some evenings and weekends will be required.Responsibilities:Oversee development initiatives and coordinate donor cultivation and retention plansCollaborate with the Fundraising Committee to identify and pursue strategic fundraising opportunitiesSeek out and build community relationships that lead to increased funding and sponsorshipsCommunicate and meet with key stakeholders to ensure clarity on project objectives and fundraising goalsReport on fundraising progress to senior leadership and assist with various program tasksLead and coordinate volunteer teams in support of development activitiesProvide friendly, donor-centered service and represent Lowell Arts professionally at the gallery desk and in the communityRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 1 year of fundraising experience with demonstrated success meeting goals through diverse funding streamsProven experience securing individual major gifts (of at least $3,000) and donations / sponsorships through eventsExperience working in donor databases; Little Green Light experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable on the phone and with stakeholder meetingsAbility to work within a budgetValid driver's license and reliable access to a vehiclePreferred Qualifications:Experience with or willingness to learn planned/legacy givingGrant writing experienceMore information about Lowell Arts can be found at lowellarts.org.To apply, send a cover letter and resume via email to info@lowellarts.org.
