Operating remotely, this role requires a highly skilled professional who can translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the .NET stack and Azure platform, demonstrating proficiency in architecting database structures and implementing backend functionalities aligned with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, frontend developers, and compliance officers, to ensure the delivery of reliable, compliant, and efficient systems. The Back-End Developer will also serve as a technical advisor, providing insights on project progress, potential improvements, and innovative approaches to enhance system performance. A strong understanding of healthcare data standards, adjudication processes, and pharmacy management systems is highly desirable. This role demands adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) while supporting ongoing and special projects in a dynamic environment.QualificationsMinimum of five years of software engineering experience, with at least two years in healthcare finance or claims adjudication.Proficiency in Visual Studio, C#, and SQL Server, including stored procedures and database administration.Experience with Git repositories, Azure DevOps build pipelines, and releases.Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.Strong understanding of healthcare data standards such as NCPDP Script, X12, and electronic data interchange protocols.Knowledge of pharmacy management, adjudication, formularies, and pricing systems.Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop cost-effective solutions.Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating across management levels and with external vendors.Experience mentoring junior developers and promoting best coding practices.Understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare data security standards.Working knowledge of prescription claim electronic data interchange and reimbursement cycles for pharmacies.Preferred: Experience with healthcare standards such as Surescripts RTPC, ePrescriber, Touchless PA, Mirth Connect, Redox, or InterSystems HealthShare.Preferred: Familiarity with EHR systems, PBMs, and MediSpan drug data.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend systems using the .NET stack and Azure platform to support healthcare applications.Architect and optimize database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval within the adjudication system.Implement backend functionalities and business logic to ensure system accuracy, compliance, and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.Adhere to industry best practices and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).Advise leadership and technical teams on project status, potential improvements, and innovative solutions.Participate in special projects, providing technical expertise and independent problem-solving capabilities.Document architecture, workflows, and implementation guides for internal and external stakeholders.Mentor junior developers to promote best coding practices and cost-effective development strategies.Ensure compliance with healthcare data security standards and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.Support integration with external APIs and third-party systems to enhance system functionality.Maintain flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and industry standards.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.Disability and life insurance coverage.Employee Assistance Program to support mental health and well-being.Remote work flexibility to promote work-life balance.Generous paid-time off and holiday leave.Annual performance reviews and professional development plans.Retirement plan with immediate 100% company match and full vesting.Equal OpportunityLiviniti, LLC is an equal employment opportunity employer.
