Administrative Specialist BASIC FUNCTION: The Administrative Specialist serves as assistant to an Assistant Superintendent in the District Office. The Administrative Specialist relieves the CBO of administrative duties through skilled support that requires a thorough working knowledge of and interpretation of District policies, procedures, programs, and requirements. This position operates with a high degree of independence, discretion, and sound judgment in support of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and departmental operations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or equivalent coursework preferred; five years increasingly responsible administrative experience, preferably within a school district. Experience in supervising office personnel. Computer experience is necessary. Experience with payroll support, timekeeping systems, or benefits administration is highly desirable.
