Hone and Lap Operator Job description Triple, Inc. is a registered AS9100/D manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace industry. These components include matched valves for fuel systems, spindles and shafts for motors and pumps, pistons and shoes for hydraulic actuators and various close tolerance housings. Triple has worked in the aerospace and defense industry for over 70 years. Job Type: Full Time (40-55+ hours/ weekly) Current Day shift is Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday (as required) 6:00am -11:00am Current Night shift is Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 3:30am and Friday (as required) 4:00pm - 12:00am Responsibilities (include but not limited to): - Set-up and operate Sunnen hones (manual and power stroker) to hone inside diameters on various sleeves, bushings and other precision parts in accordance with work instructions - Set-up and operate Federal and Standard air gages, Sunnen gages and mikrokators / .00001” - Lap inside diameters of various precision parts to achieve required size, straightness (as close as .00005), roundness (as close as .00005) and finish - Lap fit spools to sleeves with precise diametrical clearances - Thoroughly clean parts of all honing oil and lapping compound - Participation in and support of Hone and Lap activities - Any other task assigned b supervisor or management Experience/Education: - 3+ years of experience on Sunnen Hone. Lapping operations experience required. Willing to train based on experience - Knowledge of proper mandrels, stones, speeds, strokes, abrasive paper, laps and abrasive compounds to achieve required methods - Must be able to correct such conditions as taper, bell mouth and “barrel” in through and blind holes *Must be a citizen of The United States The facility is climate controlled, clean and a quiet work environment.
