Human Resources Manager

Medieval Metalwerx, a full-service metal fabrication shop in Mankato, MN, is looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to help strengthen our human resources functions. You'll work closely with leadership and staff across the shop and office to put HR strategies into action that support our business goals, boost employee engagement, and ensure they're always in line with company policies and employment laws.Perks & Benefits:Opportunities for growth and advancementEmployee recognition programsPositive and supportive team cultureFlexible schedulingHealth, vision, and dental insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coveragePaid time off (PTO) and floating holidaysIRA with employer matchResponsibilities:Support the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and performance managementAdminister employee benefit programs, acting as the main contact for all employee questions related to benefits, time off, and company policiesHelp develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all state and federal labor lawsAssist with payroll processing, including reviewing timesheets, entering payroll data, and generating payroll reports to ensure accuracy and complianceCoordinate and support internal investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, always focusing on fairness and thorough documentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HRIS data, and compliance reportingConduct new employee orientations and facilitate training sessions as neededProvide support to managers and employees on all HR-related matters, including performance improvement, development plans, and organizational changesParticipate in audits, health and safety programs, and compliance reviews as neededRequired Skills:Previous job experience as an HR Manager or similar HR roleDemonstrate knowledge of employment law and HR compliance standardsPreferred Skills:PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plusExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, especially metal fabrication, is highly preferredExperience as a benefit administrator, including health and retirement plansExperience with OSHA regulations and safety management is a significant advantage in our fabrication settingWhy Join Us:Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Opportunities for growth and process improvement initiatives.Contribute to high-quality manufacturing and innovative solutionsHours: 40hrs/weekFlexible HoursWork Location: In person
