Maintenance Mechanic
Position Summary
This role is responsible for performing maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production processes, supporting equipment reliability and safety.
Skills and Qualifications
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Effective communicator with production teams and vendors
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing time effectively
- Proficient in reading and understanding schematics
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair heavy machinery, including CNC equipment and wheelabrator/blaster machines
- Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment such as overhead cranes, chains, and bearings, replacing components as needed
- Perform minor hands-on repairs, including welding, hose and whip repairs, hydraulic work, filter changes, basic machining, and electrical maintenance
- Document maintenance activities accurately in logs and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel
Work Environment
- Ability to work in conditions ranging from 50 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must not be allergic to paints and chemicals used within the department
- Capable of working in environments with welding fumes and other airborne particulates
