Your talents will help shape the future of healthcare.As the Senior Manager Surgery SC Procurement New Product Development (NPD), you will be responsible for key launches across the Wound Closure & Healing, Biosurgery, and Drug Delivery portfolios within Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies. This multifaceted role requires critical thinking, cross-functional teamwork, strong procurement and business acumen and a passion for driving value through innovative sourcing.Located in Raritan, NJ, you will lead supplier evaluation, selection, and qualification for key NPD launches, in alignment with procurement strategies, ensuring quality, service, cost, and compliance.The position holder will manage 1-2 direct reports.SourcingLead or support sourcing initiatives to identify the right supplier partners, Influence decisions, delivering ongoing value improvements while driving competitive advantage.Develop spend analysis and bring together market intelligence in alignment with business goals.Identify emerging needs within a specific area of focus and develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan that will optimally meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&JDevelop and lead price and cost initiatives; Prepare and complete RFQs for medium to high complexity sourcing decisions; Conduct negotiations with suppliers.Collaborate with supplier leadership to assure alignment of J&J’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation, and costDeliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of efficient approaches and solutions.Supplier Management and Category Strategy ExecutionDevelop and lead or support supplier partnerships to drive performance delivery, risk mitigation, and value through supplier enabled innovation.Cultivate and use strategic relationships with key business partners (e.g., Internal partners, supplier leadership) to craft, optimize, and diversify the supply base.Develop innovative and balanced solutions to identify and mitigate risk, drive long-term, end-to-end value, and achieve unmet business needs. Identify and pursue opportunities to develop supplier capabilities.Collaborate with category leads and supplier relationship managers, to conduct Business Review meetings with suppliers that include comprehensive supplier performance management and review.Understand long range requirements to ensure alignment; understand and execute according to applicable category sourcing strategies.ContractingUse procurement expertise and global business understanding to implement contracts.Ensure that agreements and the manner they are performed meet business demands of all collaborators and are aligned with the organization’s overall procurement and business strategy.Team ManagementSet clear goals, priorities, and performance measures to ensure alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the team.Manage talents, provide coaching and guidance to team members.QualificationsMinimum of Bachelor’s Degree is requiredAt least 8 years of procurement or supply chain experience across fields such as manufacturing, operations, procurement, or distributionStrong understanding of core procurement functions: Spend Management, Category Management, Sourcing, Supplier ManagementProven leadership, teamwork, and influencing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical mindset with problem-solving competenceProject management experience leading cross-functional initiativesBusiness and financial competence, with negotiation expertiseAbility to communicate effectively across organizational levelsPreferredProven experience within Medical Devices or Healthcare is a plusMaster’s Degree or MBA preferredCertification: CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (preferred)Knowledge of ERP, SAP, MRP systems, and Advanced Planning toolsExperience with Process Excellence and Six Sigma methodologiesAdditional DetailsProficiency in English requiredUp to 20% domestic and international travelJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
