Our stunning property features:424 luxurious guestrooms and suites with breathtaking city and harbor viewsA full-service spa and wellness clubOver 32,000 square feet of premier meeting and event spaceInternationally inspired restaurants and loungesWe deliver a truly captivating and elegant guest experience - and you can be part of it.Your Day to DayAs a Steward, you will play a vital behind-the-scenes role, supporting the culinary and service teams to ensure flawless operations and exceptional guest experiences.Responsibilities include:Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing plateware, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils with precisionMaintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly manner in line with health and sanitation standardsInspecting equipment and reporting malfunctions or hazardous conditionsProperly using, handling, and storing cleaning chemicals while following hotel and safety guidelinesDisposing of waste and adhering to recycling regulationsMonitoring chemical levels and water temperatures during your shift to ensure optimal performance and sanitationSweeping, mopping, and deep cleaning kitchen floors and surfaces regularly and after spillsSupporting the culinary team with ad-hoc duties to maintain smooth kitchen operationsPerforming all tasks safely, while upholding IHG's health, safety, and hygiene standardsWhat We Need From YouThis job requires ability to perform the following:Basic reading, writing, and math skillsBasic communication skills in EnglishSafe food handling certification and sanitation practices.Understanding of chemical handling and storage procedures, including correct usage of protective equipment (PPE)Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by following hotel and regulatory health & safety proceduresPhysical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand and move for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, and handle cleaning tools and chemicals safelyTeam player attitude and flexibility to work evenings/overnights, weekends, and holidays as requiredWhat We OfferHourly Rate: $33.07At InterContinental Boston, our colleagues are the heartbeat of our hotel.
