We are looking for a Material Handler at our Kirby Risk Precision Machining location in Lafayette, IN!If so, we want you on our team.At Kirby Risk Precision Machining , We provide machining solutions for our customers in industrial, construction, agricultural, oil and gas, forestry, mining, power generation, and electric drive-train sectors.What You’ll Do As a Material HandlerIn this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely receipt of inventory and delivery of material to support the manufacturing environment.You’llDeliver raw material throughout the production facilityStage raw material and work in process for production efficiencyVerify accuracy of incoming material quantitiesMaintain and organize all inventory storage locations, including materials received for repairs and stockCommunicate inventory discrepancies to production managementWhat Makes You a Great FitHigh School diploma/GED or equivalent work experienceDemonstrate basic Mechanical aptitudePrevious shipping/receiving experience is required.Previous forklift experience; Current forklift certificationStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal, leadership, and customer contact skillsClean driving record and Valid Driver’s License (For Hire Endorsement, must be 21 years of age)What To Expect In This RoleAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and adapt to varied work environmentsSchedule: Monday–Thursday 6:00am-4:30pmWhy Kirby Risk?Founded in 1926, Kirby Risk is a trusted leader in electrical supply, manufacturing, and mechanical solutions.
