This is a part-time, event-based position located within the Food and Beverage Department of the Amerant Bank Arena. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon the event schedule.Job FunctionsSpecific duties include but are not limited to:Greet guests in a warm and welcoming mannerWork with team members during the event to ensure excellent customer service standards are metAccurately use POS system while serving a high volume of guests in concessions standsExpedite guest food orders promptly at concession stands and/or portablesAssist with pre-event setup including stocking product and setting up cashier/prep stations.Thoroughly complete all station breakdown responsibilities.Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipmentPartner with other team members to ensure food and beverage qualityAssist in preparation of food itemsUnderstand and follow all Health Department Food & Safety regulationsUnderstand and properly execute responsible alcohol serviceMaintain organization and cleanliness of all areas within the concession stand.Be comfortable with the arena and know how to navigate personally, as well as, assist guestsSupport any other Food & Beverage department as neededOther tasks as assigned by supervisors and managersQualificationsMust be a minimum of 18 years of agePrevious customer service and cashier experience a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment in which guest satisfaction is always the goalStrong inter-personal skills; establishing and maintaining productive relationships with fellow workers and supervisorsMust be extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-taskMust be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures, often coldMust be able to work in an environment where noise level is generally high with heavy crowd trafficMust be able to perform physical requirements of the position, including bending and/or lifting up to 50lbs and standing/walking for extended periods of time without sittingMust possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
