RN - Emergency Room

Travel Rn - Emergency Room Full-time contract shift: 19:00–07:30 (night shift) includes every other weekend and some holidays. Position overview: We are seeking experienced emergency department RNs for night shifts in our adult ED. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment. Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records are preferred. Key responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the emergency department. Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment. Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Uphold infection control and patient safety standards. Qualifications: Current New York state RN license in good standing. BLS certification required; must be able to maintain certification. Minimum 1.5 years recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital. Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers. Experience with EPIC EMR preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated. Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim. Legal right to work in the U.S. and successful completion of pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check. Additional requirements: Ability to perform majority of patient care skills and demonstrate strong nursing assessment capabilities in an acute care setting with minimal orientation. Adaptability to high-acuity environments and ability to work independently.
