Outside Sales Representative
Salary$65,000–$90,000 base (depending on experience) + quarterly commissionOn-site in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and then on the field within the Michigan & Ohio territory.Job SummaryWe are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow business across the Michigan and Ohio territories within the stone surfacing and architectural materials industry. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with kitchen & bath dealers, designers, architects, fabricators, and end users. The ideal candidate brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build long-term partnerships while driving new business growth.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business opportunities with architects, interior designers, fabricators, and end users Maintain and grow existing customer relationships across assigned territory Coordinate with local branch teams for scheduling, sales support, and appointments Provide showroom coverage as needed (including occasional Saturdays) Conduct product presentations, seminars, and educational sessions (in-person, virtual, and networking events) Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions Manage CRM system with accurate activity tracking, opportunities, and account updates Stay current on industry trends, materials, and product knowledge Create and support social media content and posting related to brand awareness Collaborate with internal teams during sales meetings and strategy sessions Travel within territory, including occasional overnight stays Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications3+ years of experience in stone, surfacing, kitchen & bath, or related construction/design industry Strong experience working with architects, designers, or trade professionals preferred Proven background in consultative or relationship-based sales Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills with ability to engage small and large groups Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and general business software Social media familiarity for business promotion is strongly preferred Self-motivated with ability to work independently and within a team Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills Willingness to travel throughout assigned territoryAbout The CompanyWe are a long-standing leader in natural stone surfacing, quartz distribution, and specialty flooring solutions.
