The company is dedicated to delivering high-quality mechanical services and building strong partnerships within the community.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Construction Drafter (Ductwork) located in Brooklyn, NY. The Construction Drafter will be responsible for creating and preparing architectural drawings and plans related to ductwork design and installation. The role also involves interpreting technical specifications, collaborating with the project team, and ensuring designs align with project requirements and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed ductwork shop drawings and fabrication drawingsDevelop and maintain HVAC models using RevitParticipate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashesCoordinate duct layouts with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural tradesConduct site visits to verify measurements and ensure drawings align with field conditionsUpdate drawings based on project revisions and field changesEnsure all drafting meets project specifications and industry standardsRequirementsMinimum 1-3 years’ experience in construction drafting, specifically ductwork/HVACStrong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflowsExperience with clash detection and coordination (Navisworks experience is an advantage)Solid understanding of HVAC systems and construction processesAbility to read and interpret construction and mechanical drawingsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and within a project team environmentWillingness to attend and work from project sites as requiredPreferred QualificationsTrade or technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related fieldExperience working on commercial or industrial construction projectsKnowledge of local building codes and standards
