Cloud Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer who will support an evolving hybrid Azure environment as the organization prepares to migrate more workloads and modernize infrastructure into native cloud services. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to large-scale cloud transformation, a strong focus on security and governance, and a culture that values learning, flexibility, and work-life balance—while never leaving you bored.This will be onsite in Richmond, VA - it will be a hybrid environment with 4 days remote, 1 day on site. This will be a long term contract with annual extensions. Must Haves:Senior-level Azure engineering experience (8–10+ years preferred)Hands-on Azure infrastructure experience, preferably supporting Azure migrationsStrong understanding of Azure networking and core Azure servicesExperience migrating workloads to Azure VMsComfortable working with development teams to stand up environmentsExperience supporting and mentoring mid-level and junior engineersStrong security mindset with experience aligning to NIST and SEC 530 standardsAbility to work from a governance and standards perspective alongside architects Plusses:Terraform expertise (all Azure environments managed via Terraform)Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform highly preferred; other IaC acceptable)Azure DevOps experienceAzure Administrator or related Azure certificationsExperience decomposing VM-based solutions into native Azure servicesExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
