DC Power Telecom Technician (Level II Installer)

DC Power Telecom Technician - Level IILocation: Nationwide / High Travel RequiredEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryAs a DC Power Telecom Technician Level II , you will support the installation, modification, and maintenance of DC power and telecommunications equipment in Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant environments. This role focuses on performing assigned tasks safely and accurately while working under the direction of senior technicians or project leads. The ideal candidate has foundational DC power experience and is continuing to build technical expertise in telecom power systems.PLEASE NOTE: This position requires a high degree of travel.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the installation, testing, and turn-up of DC power and telecommunications equipmentPerform additions and removals of battery strings under supervisionSupport additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuitsAssist with adding and removing circuits on DC power distribution equipmentInstall auxiliary framing, relay racks, and related infrastructureRead and follow job drawings, specifications, and work instructionsFollow established SMOPs and DMOPs during maintenance and cutover activitiesAccurately complete job logs, work reports, and required documentationAssist with DC audits, preventive maintenance, and basic inspections of DC power systems and standby batteriesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentCommunicate job progress, issues, or concerns to the project lead or supervisorAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport senior technicians and leads during complex installations and maintenance activitiesParticipate in on-the-job training to build technical knowledge and skillsAdhere to company safety policies and customer site requirementsMaintain a professional attitude while delivering quality customer serviceQualifications2-4 years of experience in DC power, telecommunications, or related technical installation workBasic understanding of DC power systems, batteries, and power distribution equipmentAbility to read technical drawings and follow written proceduresWillingness to learn and take direction from senior techniciansStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a teamValid driver's licenseOSHA 10 certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)Must be a US CitizenCompensation and Benefits:This position offers competitive pay and an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k), and more.About Vantage Point SolutionsVantage Point Solutions was founded in 2002 by a team who believed in putting people - both employees and clients - first.
