Preschool Teacher

Overview We are a Christ-centered preschool dedicated to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our mission is to provide a loving, faith-filled environment where young children can grow, explore, and learn about God’s love. We are seeking a compassionate, joyful, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who feels called to serve children and families through early childhood education. The Preschool Teacher will create a developmentally appropriate, faith-integrated learning environment for children ages 3–5. The ideal candidate demonstrates a love for Jesus, a heart for young learners, and the ability to weave Christian values into daily activities and interactions. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that support early learning and reflect principles of kindness, respect, and compassion Integrate simple Bible stories, prayer, and faith-based themes into the classroom routine Support children’s academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development Maintain a warm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Communicate regularly with families and participate in school community activities Ensure compliance with Rhode Island licensing requirements and safety guidelines Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Commitment to Christian faith and alignment with the school’s mission Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and implementing Montessori or similar educational approaches. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, children, and external specialists. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for toddlers through preschoolers. Integrate simple Bible stories, prayer, and faith-based themes into the classroom routine Prior preschool experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred; certification in early childhood education is highly valued.
