Inside Machinist

GENERAL SUMMARY: Set-up machinery and perform complex machining on components/pieces with conventional machinery, such as lathes, boring mills, shapers, and grinders. Experience with CNC machinery nice to have but not required. LOCATION: Norfolk, VA PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining. Utilize bore gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools for quality control. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with quality control teams to meet production standards. Assemble components as needed based on specifications. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years of proven experience as a Machinist with expertise in both manual and CNC operations. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical documentation. Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines and quality control processes. Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively. Basic programming skills for CNC machines are a plus. Must successfully undergo a background investigation and drug screening.
