The engineer will be responsible for designing and deploying creative solutions using various technologies that improve and expand the capabilities of scientists and engineers in a laboratory environment and across multiple security domains. The engineer will be a part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and will work with teammates to establish design and operating principles, communicate and establish requirements, and deploy solutions.We are looking for someone who will work equally well in a team as on their own and has the discipline, focus and ability to work within the Agile framework. QualificationsExperience designing and deploying multi-cluster solutions using VMWare and related technologies such as VSAN, Horizon, and Nvidia GRIDExperience operating Microsoft Active Directory and dependent services such as DNS and DHCPExperience configuring multiple different versions of Windows to meet complex configuration needs using tools like MECM and GPOExperience configuring non-Windows operating systems to utilize MS AD authentication and servicesExperience with configuration management and/or IaaS solutions such as Ansible or PackerDemonstrable knowledge of computing and networking technologies to design and troubleshoot multi-disciplinary solutionsKnowledge of server hardware, software, and storage technologies and optionsKnowledge of and ability to implement industry best-practices and applicable STIGs in a manner that does not impede system functionalityAbility to research, understand, and implement new technologies and solutionsAbility to use Agile tools such as JIRA or YouTrackAbility to manage the time and tasks for their projects and team membersActive DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.Applicant must have certifications that meet DOD 8570 requirements for security and computing environmentsDesired Qualifications:Experience with cloud/cloud-native Kubernetes-based infrastructureExperience with high-powered compute (HPC) infrastructureExperience with cloud-specific operation and security principlesKnowledge of platform as a service (PaaS) and automated systems deploymentKnowledge of physical and virtual networking concepts and toolsSAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.
