Successful candidates will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be a part of the opening of our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth, at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho's Treasure Valley.The Medical Technician is responsible for direct oversight of storage and distribution of medications to clients, and serves as the primary liaison between clients, youth care providers, clinicians, Director of Nursing and the Medical DirectorOur Medical Technicians:Administer medication as ordered by a physicianTake and record vital signs of youthRecords the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriatelyReports and records any changes in conditionMust Haves:Must be 21 years of ageMust possess High School diploma or equivalentMust have a valid Idaho driver's license or obtain one within 15 days of hireMust hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competencyObtain when offered specialized training related to position, such as: CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Individualized Behavioral Contingencies, Crisis & Suicide Management and Med ManagementKnowledge of computer and EHR systemsPreferred:Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient settingWhat do we offer?
