We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Travel Medical Director to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight across multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities throughout Florida. The Travel Medical Director will work closely with facility leadership and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and implementation of best practices across sites. This role combines medical leadership with direct patient care and requires regular travel to partner facilities. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving care for seniors.ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of careFoster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional developmentLead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staffChair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basisAssist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulationsLead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiativesStay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offeringsProvide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and supportRequirementsActive and unrestricted Florida physician licenseCertified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferredWillingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple facilities across TexasExtensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settingsStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skillsIn-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term careAbility to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operationsMust be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6‑8 hours per dayBenefitsHealthVision401KCompany‑Sponsored Life InsurancePaid Time OffMalpractice InsuranceWhy Work With Us?Make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniorsEnjoy work‑life balanceEqual Opportunity Employer
