Lead Java DeveloperInitially remote6 months contractRelease comments: Full stack is preferred but primary focused on backend developer (60%-40 %).Job description:Develop code, scripts, and configuration/deployment instructions to implement designs and follow instruction of lead team members.Use best practices and patterns to ensure delivery of an enterprise grade solution that is scalable, extensible, and configurable.Work with other technical teams in the organization such as Scrum teams, Solutions Architecture and Integration teams.May use any of the following skills sets including: IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, LDAP, Unix, Active Directory, Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC, JMS, Kerberos, PKI, XML, WSDL, Web Services, Ant, Spring Framework.Work with the project managers to define realistic timelines for solution delivery.Deliver solutions in a timely manner and according to the agreed upon schedule.Work and collaborate other teams in the enterprise, or with customers (internal and external) on resolving access issues related to DX Member Services applications.Work with the project managers to define realistic timelines for production issue resolutions.Troubleshoot issues across multiple applications and systems.Persist in fixing issues and supporting deployments during the maintenance windows.Apply creative thinking in problem solving and actively identifying opportunities for system improvements.This position requires off-hour and weekend production support.5-8 Years ExperienceMust have extensive experience working with Java/J2EE 4+ and Spring 3+Must have extensive experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services, especially using Spring BootGood to have experience in working with API Management Tools.Must have strong experience with batch applications (Spring Batch) and schedulingMust have strong experience with working on front end applications using JavaScript, JQuery, Angular 8+ and Bootstrap.Good to have experience working on and resolving 508 Accessibility for webpages, mobile/responsive, and documentsMust have strong experience working with Websphere 9+ and Tomcat 9+Good to have experience working on Cloud technologies (AWS)Must have extensive experience with DB2 and Mainframe systems and SQL queriesMust have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment (Jenkins, Sonar).Must have Java development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.Must have ability to work independently.Must have experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services.Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment.Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).Good to have experience with working on front end applications using JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS and Bootstrap.Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.Good to have experience working with GIT/BitBucket.Good to have experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) for automated acceptance testsMust have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.Must have ability to work independently.Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
