Diesel Shop Technician
Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing heavy equipment in our shop or in the field.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:
Effectively communicates equipment issues with customers and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair malfunctioning units.
Conducts preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs.
Prepare and submit detailed, complete, and legible service reports of all inspections and repairs performed using prescribed forms and procedures in a timely manner.
Keep supervisor regularly updated on the status of assigned repair jobs and assist in addressing customer questions and concerns.
Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
Ability to read and comprehend moderately difficult computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, safety manuals, and other related publications.
Maintain an organized and neat bay/truck.
Possible nights and weekends as needed.
Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Technical training of equipment is preferred.
3+ years of experience in heavy equipment industry.
Qualified applicants will have experience in troubleshooting and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment & trucks.
Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment is preferred and CDL is a plus.
Candidate must have basic computer skills.
Candidate must maintain good work habits and presents a favorable business image towards customers served by the company.
PAY: $20 - $30 per hour
