Community Coordinator - 290 Malosi

As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.
The successful Community Coordinator will be responsible for interacting with residents, communicating community policies, and maintaining the wellbeing of the community. The Community Coordinator has various responsibilities that include identifying housing stability and community service needs of the residents, monitoring visitors in and out of the building, and be able to respond to resident problems and emergencies as appropriate.

Pay: $23.00-25.00/hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two-years work experience in social services or customer service-related field.
Experience applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing groups, events, or programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
General office experience.
Resident services experience.

Communicate clearly with visitors and residents.
Ability to remain calm and de-escalate in a variety of situations.
Decide when an incident is an emergency and take appropriate action.
Maintain confidentiality.
Function effectively in an environment with diverse cultures, multiple perspectives, and lines of authority.
Ability to treat a variety of people with respect and compassion.
Flexible, resourceful, creative, and able to take initiative.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
