Job Summary: This is a 13-week contract-to-permanent LPN position within an outpatient oncology clinic. The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care under the direction of an RN, including patient follow-up phone calls, pain assessment/management, pharmacy calls/refill requests, and telephone triage. The role requires comfort and skill in direct patient care within an oncology setting.Location:Aberdeen, Washington, United StatesResponsibilities:- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.- Gather and report patient data.- Carry out physician orders.- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.- Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients.- Perform pain assessments and management.- Handle pharmacy calls and refill requests.- Perform telephone triage.- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.Required Skills & Certifications:- Active LPN/LVN license in the state of working.- BLS certification.- Minimum of 2 years of LPN experience.Preferred Skills & Certifications:- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.- Experience working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.Special Considerations:- Must be interested in a temp-to-perm position.- Locals only.- Possible floating to Centralia in the event of a call-out.Scheduling:- 4 day work week.
