We seek a senior engineer to join Lochner as a Senior Structural Engineer. A successful candidate should be creative, and self-motivated, possess strong leadership and communication skills, passionate about delivering technically excellent designs for bridges, retaining walls, and other structures needed for the delivery of surface transportation projects. Bridge design experience includes reinforced concrete bridges, prestressed concrete design, post-tensioned concrete substructures, steel plate and box girder bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, box culverts, and sign and signal structures. This role may be responsible for supporting multiple projects across the US with a focus on the western United States. This role will likely generate opportunities to develop and expand on existing skills and knowledge of structural engineering designs.
Your impact:
Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Mentor and train junior engineers.
Develop structural designs including bridges, retaining walls, and other structures including all necessary contract documentationfor surface transportation projects.
Assist the project manager with maintaining project documentation, schedule, budgets, scope, and coordination.
Support proposal presentations and business development activities.
Participate with local associations and organizations to support new business opportunities.
Build relationships with local municipalities to help identify additional business opportunities.
Who you are:
4 Year Civil Engineering Degree
Minimum 8Years Experience
Washington PECertification
Washington SE Certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience in structural drafting with open roads is preferably desired.
Structural design software experience preferred: PYWall/LPile, LARSA 4D, Mathcad, CSI Bridge, Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX
Bentley MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads experience
Collaborative and ability to work independently or with a team.
The salary range for this position is between $155,000 and $195,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
